Calling all domestic goddesses, budding pastry chefs or cupcake queens! This November, Temple Street Children's University Hospital wants you to dust off your pinny and whip up some delicious creations to sell to your friends, family, colleagues or even random strangers - all in aid of helping sick Irish children to get the treatment they need.
There is no limit to the ways you can get involved, whether you hold a morning tea at work, a bake sale at school or donating a portion of your cake shop's daily proceeds, everyone will be sure to want a slice whilst contributing to a very worthy cause.
Start spreading the news... win a trip to New York!
By holding a Great Irish Bake this November, you can 'bake and raise' your way to New York for two nights including Aer Lingus flights and accommodation. To be in with a chance to win, simply register your bake sale with us and return your funds by 25 November 2011. Download poster here.
Donal's tips for delicious delicacies
We are thrilled to have Donal Skehan supporting The Great Irish Bake this year. Donal is a phenomenal young chef, who at the age of 24 has already written two cookbooks, Good Mood Food and Kitchen Hero. To help you 'bake' a big difference, Donal has released a very special (and exclusive!) Christmas recipe to give you plenty of inspiration to whip up a storm!
You can keep up to date with the latest from Donal and us, here at Temple Street, but joining the Great Irish Bake Facebook page and by following us on Twitter at #thegreatirishbake
Gem sprinkle some love over The Great Irish Bake
Gem Pack Foods is helping you spread some sweetness and get ready for Christmas this year and do your bit for Ireland's sick children, by donating 5c from every pack of sugar sold to Temple Street. They're also launching a new Christmas Cake All-in-One Fruit Pack - the perfect way to get all the fruit you need for your Christmas Cake. Teamed with your other essential Gem products, it's bound to make your cake shine this Christmas. And the best part is 25c from each pack sold will go directly to Temple Street!
