We are asking everyone to 'bake' a difference to raise funds for Temple Street Children's University Hospital. The simplest of ingredients can have the sweetest results so dust off your pinny and whip up something delicious to share with friends, family, class mates or colleagues.

How you are 'Baking' a Difference

Temple Street Children's University Hospital is focused on providing world class medical care, supporting patients and their families during one of the most traumatic experiences of their lives.

All funds raised from The Great Irish Bake will go towards our fundraising objective of 2009 to purchase a number of pieces of life saving equipment for the children of Temple Street Children's University Hospital.
You have the ability to change these children's lives by contributing to this campaign.

This equipment includes items such as:

Baby incubators - this is a neonatal intensive care station that is specially designed to ensure critically ill babies get the best possible medical care.
The cost of this equipment is €50,000 per machine. We need to purchase 10 of these machines.

Patient Monitors - This is used to monitor the vital statistics in a baby or child.
The cost is €20,000 per machine. We need to purchase 5 of these machines.

Mobile X-Ray Units - The unit allows our radiologist to perform x-rays on a ward eliminating any unnecessary movement of the baby of child during this vital diagnostic procedure.
The cost of this unit is approximately €45,000. We need to purchase 10 of these machines.

Dialysis Machines - Temple Street Hospital is the National Pediatric Renal, Dialysis and Transplant Hospital of Ireland. We always need new haemodialysis and peritoneal machines.
The cost of this equipment is €35,000 per machine. We need to purchase 10 of these machines.
