How you can 'bake and raise'
The most important ingredient in The Great Irish Bake is fun! Anyone and everyone can get involved - from an individual to a club, school, family, business, café or hotel - whoever you are, wherever you live, you can do your bit for sick children across Ireland.
Take a great base
Location, location, location! You can hold your Great Irish Bake at work, school, parish hall, club or even a local cafe - the idea is to have a good location that will be accessible to the people you are trying to attract.

- Why not ask your local bakery or shop to donate some plain cakes or biscuits and get the kids to decorate them at créche?
'Bake' a day at school a little sweeter
- Travel the world - bake specialty sweets from far away places and experience something exotic
- Cupcake decorating competition - sell your creations to students afterwards
Breaking up the working day
- Brunch - breakfast is certainly the best meal of the day so why not give your colleagues the kickstart they need with breads, scones and muffins when they arrive in the morning
- Morning tea - meet and greet with colleagues and share some sweets over a coffee break
High tea with the girls
- Cupcakes and champagne for a girls' special day
- Treat your mum - get together with friends and their mums for an afternoon tea, scones and other tasty treats
Sell some sweet stuff as your part of your day job
- Bakeries, cake shops and cafes can get involved by donating a portion of their proceeds on 11th November to Temple Street or have a collection tin in their shop during November seeking donations from customers
Add a splash of something sweet
Bake all your old favourites and perhaps try something new from Donal Skehan's recipes and tips. If you are hosting your event at school or work, get a few friends or colleagues together to all bake something so you have plenty to sell to the masses that are bound to be craving your sweet creations.
Sprinkle with plenty of people
Get the word out there early that you are holding your Great Irish Bake and set people's tummy's rumbling. Promote your event using our posters and stickers so you get plenty of people looking to settle their sweet tooth on the day.
